“You have flown the flag of Jammu and Kashmir still higher in the realm of quality education by your sterling performances in the All India Civil Service examinations", Mr Kichloo, in his message to the selected candidates including Syed Abid Shah, Sehrish Asgar, Muhammad Aijaz, Manazir Jeelani, Raj Kumar Arya, Pooja Hali, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Inam-ul-Haq, Qazi Muhammad Salman Ibrahim and. Nitish Suri said.
He said that such occasions go a long way in motivating the youth of the state, who have faced years of bloodshed and instability. “Another important feature of the success was that most of the selected candidates from the state belong to rural and far flung areas”, he said adding it clearly speaks volumes about the talent and potential being possessed by the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the coalition government, headed by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, was committed for the quality education in the state. The path-breaking initiatives taken by the state government will encourage the students from rural areas to participate in the civil services examinations in large numbers.
He urged the government to consider opening of free tuition centers across the state, especially in far flung area, to help the aspirants in future.
