Jammu, April 20 (Scoop News) –Yuva Adhikar Yatra started by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha reached the hilly district Ramban. BJYM activists led by the BJP district President Vijay Mohan Thakur and BJYM State Secretary Neelam Langeh welcomed yatra at Ramban Bridge. Addressing the Youth rally at Ramban BJYM State President lambasted NC-Congress government for ignoring the terrorism Victims of Jammu region. He said the families of all those who fought against the Pakistan sponsored terrorism and laid down their lives are at the edge of starvation and those were involved in terrorism and bloodshed are being felicitated by the Congress and the National Conference government. He accused NC-Congress as the culprit of terrorism victims of Jammu region.
Successive Congress and National Conference governments are responsible for the backwardness of the hill districts like Doda, Kistwar, Ramban, Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch. He said the rampat corruption by the Congress-NC ministers destroyed the future of young generation and the sufferings of common man have no solution. Raina said needy and deserving people are not getting benefits of the poverty alleviation schemes like MNREGA, IAY as these schemes implemented only on papers. BJYM President demanded that locals should be given priority in the new hydro-electric projects and other developmental activities going on in this belt. He said “Instead of appointing locals on small petty jobs, the agencies engaged in executing the hydro-electric projects must open training centers here to train the local unemployed youth so as to engage them on technical and skilled jobs”, he demanded, adding,“employment opportunities for locals must be created while constructing hydro-electric projects in this belt.
While demanding free electricity for the people of erstwhile Doda district, he said that residents of this belt have first right on the water flowing from their area
Demanding proper rehabilitation of the people whose land has been acquired for developmental activities, he said that residents of this belt have been facing displacement and besides giving adequate compensation, the affected people must be properly rehabilitated. He said that successive National Conference regimes are responsible for the backwardness and underdevelopment of this region and assured the youth that BJP would continue its fight for the development of this region and asked youth to get strengthen to through out the anti-youth and anti national NC-Congress government out of power. Others who spoke on the occasion were Vjay Mohan Thakur, Neelam Langeh, Honey Singh Jamwal, Naresh Sharma, Mohd.Irfan, Manav Gupta and Raja Riaz.
