Kashmir Pandit leader Shiban Dudha joins NC
Srinagar, October 31(Scoop News)- National conference on Thursday declared that the party “will bounce with a huge victory in 2014 assembly elections by registering a significant victory in Kashmir, Jammu as well as in Ladakh.
“We have all along been the single largest party and will emerge as a strong force in 2014 under the leadership of Omar Abdullah,” party leaders said adding that “PDP’s disintegration has begun and everyone shall see how this anti people party will be wiped out from the minds and hearts of the people, by the people”
In a impressive function held at the party headquarters, Shiban Dudha, a renowned Kashmir Pandit leader and a social activist who also contested the 2008 election joined the party in presence of senior party leaders including Additional General Secretary Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Political secretary Tanvir Sadiq, District President Srinagar and MLA Peer Afaq, the party leaders said that “We welcome public spirited, honest and missionary people in our party to carry forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah with vigour and zest for making Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous, progressive and peaceful state of his dreams”, adding that joining of prominent people reflects the wider appeal of National Conference which believes in just society based on equality with opportunities of progress to all, irrespective caste, creed and colour.
The Party leaders conveyed the good wishes of President and Union Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to Mr Shiban Dudha on joining National Conference and said the party has to reactivate for playing its huge role in the State, which is fast steering to a new era of peace and development.
Shiban Duddha was profusely garlanded by the senior leaders. He expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for providing him a chance to serve the people and pledged for strengthening National Conference.
Those present on the occasion included senior Vice President Kashmir Mohd Syeed Akhoon, Sheikh Abdul Rehman , Party secretary Rashid Haroon and hundreds of party activists.
