NDC meeting:Govt of Pakistan vows to protect Pak sovereignty

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani,Prime Minister of Pakistan presiding over the cabinet,s National Defence Committee Monday reiterated the resolve to ensure Pakistan,s defence and terrotorial integrity.

The meeting of the Cabnet,s NDC held here at Prime Minister House was attended by Chairman Joint Chief Of Staff Committee,Chiefs of three armed services of the country,Defence Minister,Foreign Minister,Information Minister,Advisor on Interior,Advisor on Finance,and other officials.

The meeting reviewed in detail matters relatiing to security and defence of the country in the backdrop of the situation arising out of Mumbai attacks,mounting tension between Pakistan and India and in particular the threats being recieve from India.

Accourding to sources,Director General ISI,Lt Gen.Ahmad Shuja Pasha gave a detailed breifing to the participants in connection with the country,s security.

It was agreed in the meeting that Pakistan ready to extend its cooperation to India but later should also keep the facts in right perspective.

The Participants observed that India,s leveling of allegations against Pakistan without providing any concrete proof is working mounting tensions between the two countries.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Affairs,Rehman Malik also presented a report regarding the voilent incidents that took place in Karachi in these days .The report revealed involvment of a Foreign hand in the Karachi voilence,terming it a conspiracy aimed at pitting Pukhtoons against Urdu speaking people.
