Definition of peace, taxonomy of
patriotism and constitutional obligations of politicians, bureaucrats and
common masses needs revisiting to understand it properly to avoid mingling of
religion, politics and democracy. Anarchical approach of dispensation, ignorant
stance of masses, hatred, communalism, corruption and unruly race for
materialistic achievements has become routine of life, thus, haunting
principles of democracy unabatedly.
People in Jammu and Kashmir are
tired of turmoil and trauma for last more than two decades and are still
reeling under the similar situation. As per scheduled calendar of protests by
separatists, protests by commoners and curfew restrictions by government in
every month more than 15 days go waste and will continue to be so in future. Such
atmosphere cannot be termed as peaceful. If peaceful why to restrict
nationalistic activities, if not who is ruling whom?
Billion dollar question needed
to be answered is that if situation is peaceful then why to restrict anybody
from unfurling tri-color at anywhere in the country. If situation is not
peaceful then how come so called elected government exists? Shouldn’t be there Central
or Army rule? Government is running, people are dying and starving and law of
the land is simply playing as prostitute.
Once upon a time there were
stories telling that democracy is for the people, by the people and of the
people but now whosoever speaks truth is a culprit and has to undergo police
remand and judicial trail. Especially, minorities fled from valley had to experience
humiliation, disrespect and torture in terms of mental, physical and social
aspect for being peace loving and patriotic. In India and especially in Jammu
and Kashmir neither peace loving nor patriotic people are required, because
affairs are being run without these elements to please international community
and fundamentalists.
