Dearly Beloved, this message is congratulating you on your decision to accept Christ. And also to assure you that you have taken the greatest decision any person could ever take on earth. This is because a life lived outside Christ has no meaning. Now that you are in Christ, your life will start to have meanings. Not only that, you now have a change of destination, instead of heading for hell, heaven is now your goal. Glory be to God. Hallelujah.
However, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ, this message is encouraging you to accept him now. Because a life out of Christ is in crisis. You will be a servant to the devil, you will obey his commandment to commit sins and at the end you will go to the same place with him –hell fire. Therefore, my beloved brother/sister, all you need to do is to accept Jesus Christ today.
But what does it mean to accept Christ? To accept Christ means getting rid of old things and having Christ in you, which is new life. To accept Christ means a radical spiritual change, getting rid of your sins, confessing and forsaking them as 1John 3:8&9 says, “He that commiteth sin is of the devil….. and whosoever is born of God does not commit sin.” Also Prov. 28:13 says, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
So dear brother/sister, know that as you have taken the decision to give your life to Christ, you are a new creature and you are expected to live a godly life and your goal should now be heaven. Since heaven is now your goal, you should walk in the light of the word of God. 1Cor. 6:9-11 says “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drinkers, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you are washed, but you are sanctified; but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God”. Now walk in the newness of life and “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal. 5:1” Get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to. Your heart and mind should now be made completely new and you must put on the new self, which is created in God’s likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy. No more lying, no more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender–hearted to people, and forgive those that offend you, as God has forgiven you through Christ. Do not use harmful words, but helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed. Live not in sadness but in gladness, rejoice evermore. And pray without ceasing, so that your happiness and joy may be full. Stand fast in faith, do not compromise and be of good courage. Whatsoever you do, do it to the glory of God; and let all your things be done with love, genuine love, as demonstrated by Christ himself. Awake to righteousness, and live a life that is free from sin, for example sexual perversion, immorality, uncleanness, disobedience to God and all forms of unrighteousness should not be named with you. And above all, “Fear God and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man–Eccl. 12:13.”
Be free from sin and its consequences. The consequences of sin are poverty, wretchedness, barrenness and all devastating and uncomely things. Remember the Bible says in John 8:36 that “If the son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed- Total freedom.” So to accept Christ means to be free from bondage, the devil and his agents. In fact, a life in Christ is a life of prosperity, joy, success, victory and triumph. John 10:10 says. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy: I (Jesus) have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:28 says “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (even death and devil.)”
So brother/sister, walk in the victory which the Lord has given you and resist every defeat, because greater is He (Christ) that is in you than he (Satan) that is in the world. May the Lord Himself continues to uphold you, strengthen you and established you in His grace. Amen.
