Sharp India Limited, a subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, Japan, launches in India its latest range of AQUOS LCD Televisions. These Televisions employ the latest LCD panels made from the 8th-generation mother glass substrate manufactured at Sharp’s second Kameyama Plant in Japan, which started operations in August 2006.
The latest Sharp AQUOS LCD TVs include models LC-42PX5 (42-inch), LC-37PX5 (37-inch) and LC-32PX5 (32-inch).

High Contrast Ratio
Sharp’s Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 6000:1 and Native Contrast Ratio of 1200:1 that enables reproduction of vivid images with enhanced lighting and shadowing. Dynamic contrast detects the source video characteristics and smoothly adjusts the screen brightness accordingly to achieve deeper black level.
Advanced Super View LCD Panel
The AQUOS PX5 Series employs High Resolution Real 16:9 WXGA panel (1366 x 768 Pixels) to deliver high-resolution, well defined picture.
High Definition Multimedia Interface Terminal
Sharp’s TVs are equipped with Dual HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) Terminals which are compatible with all current and future 1080p sources, for Digital to Digital connection with AV Equipment. With the PC terminal, the LCD TV can also be turned into a marvelous computer monitor.
Environment Friendly
Sharp has always been committed to producing environment-friendly models that integrate advanced technology with materials that can be recycled. The new series employs non-halogen materials which can be recycled, and sweet corns instead of petroleum-based materials in the crutch base. Advanced Optical Picture Control
Sharp’s new range comes laden with other features such as Advanced Optical Picture Control (OPC) which senses the surrounding light and automatically adjusts the back light brightness. This not only enables reproduction of images that are comfortable on the eye but also reduces power consumption by 30 to 50%.
Other Features
Its 3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter eliminates colour distortion and dot crawl interference by separating the Y (luminance) and C (Chrominance) components of the video signals, making the TV image crystal clear. Its Digital Amplifier with High Power Audio Output enhances sound quality.
The new AQUOS PX5 Televisions have superior specifications such as Dual Picture Function, 450 cd/ sq m of Luminance and a wide horizontal and vertical Viewing Angle of 176 degrees for a superior TV watching experience.
