Fashion is one word that excites anyone who loves to dress up and show their stylish self to the world. However, when it comes to these fashion conscious souls, they are not one to settle for anything less than the best. Be it clothes, shoes or accessories, the fit, cut and color must be in sync with the latest trends of the season. Seasonal wardrobe cleaning is a pilgrimage for them and monthly shopping acts like stimulant till the next shopping spree. Here is a brief guide or what’s hot and what’s not for the coming season.
Separates To Rule the Season
The trend started at the end of last year and continues till this year. They are individual pieces of attire which may be paired with versatile clothes like kurtas, t-shirts, tunics, lungi skirts and dhoti pants. Among separates, it is the gilet that stands out and it can be paired with kurta, sarees or pants. In western wear, it is the dresses with floral and abstract prints, straight pant and flares that will create a splash. Tops and light summer jackets will in demand as well.
Shoulder Show In 2016
2016 is also going to be the year of off shoulder dresses, tops and cutout dresses along with asymmetrical necklines. Combine cool casual by wearing your pyjamas outside and the top can be an off shoulder one in bright color and prints. Romance will come back in 2016 with liberal use of pastel, chiffons, sheer detail, ruffles and feathers. This year, the high waist pants will give way to paper bag waist pants. In fabrics, net and mesh will be the preferred ones and with feminine X-necklines making a comeback. Cutout dresses are big along with washed out plaids. Dresses and attires with pleats are going to be in the reckoning as well.
Accessorize With Aplomb
An integral part of any complete look is the accessories. Those include bags and shoes predominantly. In 2016, the bucket bags that had taken 2015 by storm will fade away and in its place will come half moon bags is bright shades. Flat mule shoe with a flat sole and easy slip-on style has gained popularity. For an Indian twist, designers are using fabrics like khadi and cotton or using lines of fur. It looks like a classic loafer in shape, and is ideal for formal or casual wear.
Colour Co-Ordination For The Season
Bright and bold is the recurring theme this year. In fact, this year, there is no color of the season and people can wear something that they can carry off with confidence. However, some colors will be loved a little more than others and they are ivories, whites, yellows, pinks, red and blues. Monochrome is not going anywhere and will retain its position. Orange is definitely the new black and is the must have color in the wardrobe.
In 2016, loose and comfortable is the mantra. Tight and body hugging clothes are passé and emphasis is on combining comfort with chic so that the result is pleasing to the eye.
