Game Three
After a rain delay in Philadelphia that lasted one hour and 20 minutes game three started and it was to be nothing like the low scoring games of one and two.
The Phillies got off to a 3-0 lead but the Yankees closed, went ahead and never looked back.
Yankee bats came alive as did the Phillies for this game but the Yanks came out on top. Home runs were on the menu and the Yankee sluggers were ordering,
Alex Rodriguez, Nick Swisher and Hideki Matsui had home runs off of three different Philly pitchers. The long ball helped the Yankees put up eight runs on the Phils.Jason Werth the Phillies right fielder added two home runs to his post season total, now at seven and one shy of the major league record.
Cole Hamels took the loss and Andy Pettitte was the winning pitcher for the Yankees.
Game four is tonight in Philly as they try to even the series at two games each.
