NGO organizes meetings with rural women on health issues

AIF an ngo working in rural hinterland of Kishanganj district of Bihar is currently spreading awareness on improving maternal and child health through different activities like group meetings,house visits and cluster meetings.The NGO has trained group of peer educators who are mostly adolescent  girls on RCH issues.These peer educators work together with the community health workers in different villages.The pregnant women are taken to referral hospital for check ups and iron tablets on regular basis.The institutional delivery has considerably gone up in the Pothia block according to the hospital sources.
