Ngoc Nguyen Helps Vietnamese Community Fill Out FEMA Forms After Hurricane Ike

Houston, TX (GroundReport) – Thanks to students like Ngoc Nguyen, 19, of Houston, members of Vietnamese community who cannot read or write English are getting the help they need fill out their FEMA forms

Following Hurricane Ike, classes at San Jacinto College came to a halt. Nguyen and other college students huddled to Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church to help.

One of those Nguyen helped was a lady whose home had been destroyed but who could not ask FEMA for help since she could not speak English, reports The Associate Press.
