This, the Minister said while releasing a bank statement for press here today.
The Minister said that the statement itself clears the doubts raised by a section of press whether the corporation has actually deposited the money with the state government. He said, in fact, the money has been deposited in a separate account opened in the name of Commissioner/Secretary to Government, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control. There is no truth in the rumours that water usage charges in respect of the corporation has been or are being waived off. He said in fact government has set a target of Rs. 900 crore as water usage charges this year from NHPC and other companies using water resources of the state, he added.
