Baseball star Ken Griffey Jr. was traded from the Cincinnati Reds to the Chicago White Sox today for relief pitcher Nick Masset and minor league infielder Danny Richar.
Nick Masset is 1-0 this season in 32 appearances for the White Sox. He has an ERA of 4.63. Nick Masset is originally from St. Petersburg Florida and played college ball at St. Petersburg Junior College.
Danny Richar has a .262 batting average for the AAA affiliate of the White Sox, the Charlotte Knights. Danny Richar has also hit nine home runs and 39 RBIs in AAA ball this season.
Time will tell if the Reds’ new young players will prove they can fill the superstar shoes left behind by slugger Ken Griffey Jr.
