The French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, is soon to be a grandfather. Indeed, his second son, Jean Sarkozy, 22 and daughter-in-law, Jessica Sebaoun-Darty have announced the latter’s pregnancy.
The couple was wed in September 2008 and have since tried to remain discreet to escape comparisons to the first couple.
Jean Sarkozy is a well known figure in French politics. He was elected General Councellor of Neuilly-Sud in the 2008 cantonal elections at the age of 21 years old.
He has also made the covers of tabloid magazines for his involvements in certain controversies. For instance, his scooter was stollen in 2007 and apparently his father, Interior minister at the time, led completely disproportionate investigations to recover it.
There has also be a complaint filed against him, claiming that in 2006 he caused damage to a car with his scooter and then fled. However, he was discharged by court in 2008.
The presidential couple appears very happy, just like Jean Sarkozy’s mother, Marie-Dominique Culioli, the first wife of the President.
