If you happen to pass through Bangalore – the famed IT hub – and you feel like relaxing after a hard days work, just pick up your drinks and head straight to your room.

Don’t bother checking out the nightlife. There isn’t any.

Sad but true. This city sleeps at 11pm. The hotels shut down, bars down their shutters and food centers take their last order at 10.30 pm.

Of course you can get a drink behind a half closed shutter, but keep an eye out for cops. They suddenly barge in and act as if they are cracking in on Osama Bin Laden. They will threaten to arrest you and wont go untill you empty your pockets into theirs!

If its not the cops then chances are that you’ll get busted by some hoodlums. They keep an eye out for strangers, especially those who are from outside. Their modus operandi is simple – knock the victim out and take whatever – or threaten the victim at knife point and make use of his card to withdraw all the cash from an ATM.

Watching a late night movie is only for all male groups who can take care of themselves.

So, you ask me, Is there anything at all that can even remotely pass off as entertainment in Bangalore?

No my friend, just go to sleep.
