No. 1 steelmaker ArcelorMittal’s plants in India to start operations by 2012

ArcelorMittal is the largest steelmaker in the world and is eying to put is foot in each and every country. It has already planned to establish its steel plants in India.

The plants in India are currently in construction and according to company sources the plants are making good progress in their construction and they are estimated to start operations by 2012.

ArcelorMittal’s steel plants in India are of greenfield steel projects and the capacity of each plant is 12 million tons. Two plants have been planned out of which one is being built in Orissa and the other in Jharkhand.
