No blame on PPP, people will not accept SC verdict: Nawaz Sharif

SHEIKHUPURA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said the people are not ready to accept the Supreme Court’s (SC) decision. He said, the public’s decision will overwhelm the Supreme Court’s verdict. He said no undemocratic action would be tolerated and the mandate of the people has to be respected. Addressing a rally here on Thursday, Nawaz Sharif said PCO judges are responsible for the rough times Pakistan is passing through. He said the verdict by the PCO judges would not be accepted. "I do not blame the PPP for the fiasco," he said. Talking about President Asif Ali Zardari he said, "We signed an agreement to help the poor," adding, "Zardari had deceived the nation by not honouring his commitments." Benazir Bhutto’s political vision is not being followed, he said. Nawaz Sharif said, Shahbaz Sharif was still the lawful Chief Minister of Punjab under the constitution. "Let’s join hands for supremacy of law," he urged, adding "The masses are my strength." He said, "I only want to serve my nation." About the lawyers’ long march he said, "I will walk in the long march from Lahore to Islamabad." "I salute the spirit of the people of Sheikhupura," he said during his address to the rally.
