Jammu,September 2 (Scoop News) – There has been no change in party’s stand on Coal Gate Scam and we reiterate our demand for resignation of Prime Minister, immediate cancellation of all the 142 licences and a judicial inquiry. This was stated by Member of Parliament & BJP National Spokesperson Tarun Vijay while addressing press conference at party headquarters at Jammu on Sunday.
Tarun Vijay said that the current scam is the biggest ever "Ghoutala" which has even superceded the Bofors Scam of Rajiv Gandhi times. After the surfacing of this Coal Gate Scam, the Congress-led UPA is feeling helpless and passing time. There seems no government working at the centre, which is an indicator of mid-term polls, said Tarun Vijay. Otherwise too, the UPA has no moral right to continue in power as it has gifted the nation with scam after scam and set new records of corruption. In pre-independence times, even the British did not indulge in such scale of loot and fleece, he alleged.
Expressing grave concern over provoking statements by Kashmiri leaders and separatists on the construction of road enroute Amarnath Shrine, Tarun Vijay said that the state government should honour the Supreme Court directions and start the work for same at an earliest for the convenience of the pilgrims.
On the issue of non implementation of any of the clause of 2008 agreement between State Government and the Sangharsh Samiti, Tarun Vijay said that the NC-Congress coalition has no hesitation in taking back cases against 5000 stone pelters in Kashmir but it cannot digest to withdrawn even a single case against Jammu youth who were framed in false cases during the 63 day agitation. He also advised Geelani and other separatists to mind their own business and stop poking their nose in the religious affairs of other religions.
Raising question on holding interaction by Ex-Interlocutors at Jammu, Tarun Vijay said that they have no logic in organising such events as the task allotted to them has been over after submitting the report to union government. He also criticised the successive governments in J&K for not granting citizenship rights to the members of Balmiki Samaj, who were brought into state way back in 60s and are not still treated as human beings.
National Executive Member & State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, at the press conference, said that the Congress is taking mock protests in favour of 73rd and 74th amendments and if its intentions are sincere, it should immediately withdraw from the coalition government, its ministers should resign from the council of ministers and its workers should join hands with BJP to launch a joint campaign against NC-led government. Referring to the Ex-Interlocutors J&K tour, he said that not only this exercise is futile but it can lead to damaging consequences by vitiating public anger in Jammu against the Ex-Interlocutors and the report prepared by them.
. State Genertal Secretary Sat Sharma ( C.A.) and State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora ( Adv.). wee also present in the press conference.
