Manhas said that our national tricolor has been accepted by all the states as their symbol but J&K has a flag parallel to national flag and a separate constitution.These separate symbols have induced a sense of separatism in the minds of some Kashmiri leaders, who have been preaching the theory of Azadi, autonomy, self-rule etc. He said the blunder committed by the then Pt. Nehru’s government to grant special status to this state has been the root cause of all the ills and the mistake can be corrected by abrogating it for ever. He said the youth has to be more alert over the developments in the state and get united in order to fail the nefarious designa of anti-national elements besides exerting pressure on the government to take effective measures for the absorption of educated youth in the state itself.
BJYM State President Munish Sharma said it is indeed unfortunate that the state Chief minister himself is raking issues like finality of accession, clemancy to Afzal Guru, shielding the corrupt ministers but has least concern for the educated unemployed youth.
