Critising the Omar Abdullah, Farooq Ahdullah and other NC men expressing opposition to the proposed rally and hoisting of national flag at Lal Chowk by BJYM on January 26, Sharma said that it only betrays their fake nationalism and assertion of being believers in Indian Constitution.
He said Every Indian on this day, not only hoists national flag on every nook and corner of the country but also celebrate the day in various modes. Sharma added that hoisting of Pakistan flag on independence in valley by fundamentalists ought to arouse the ire of these NC leaders but it is a matter of great regret that instead BJYM’s celebrations of republic day at Lal Chowk is causing dismay and anger to them.
Sharma asked the NC to explain as to how do they justify their day in and day out demands of finance from the centre, when they are not happy with the tri-colour flag hoisting on republic day at Lal Chowk. They want centre to fund Central University, management institute, AIIMs standard hospitals etc. for the valley but are not happy to see national flag fluttering on Republic Day at Lal Chowk. He exhorted his workers to rise to the occasion and make this flag hoisting and celebration of republic day at Lal Chowk Kashmir a memorable event and grand success.
