Srinagar, September 04, (Scoop News)- In view of continued rainfall and triggering of landslides/ shooting stones at various places on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway especially between Ramsoo-Ramban and Ramban-Batote road stretches and the fact that the retention wall at Chanderkote has given in, no movement of vehicles whatsoever, either from Jammu or Kashmir valley shall be allowed on on September 05, 2014 keeping in view the safety/security of the drivers/passengers.
Accordingly general public and transporters in particular are advised to contact Traffic Control Rooms at TCU Ramban (9419993745), TCU Jammu (0191-2459048, 9419147732) and TCU Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396) to get the status of the road to avoid any inconvenience.
Meanwhile The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah ordered closure of Government and Private Schools and Colleges in the State till 07 September, 2014, which shall reopen only on 8th September, 2014. The closure has been ordered to ensure safety of school going children.
