Nobelist Paul Krugman on Obama’s Win: “The end of the monster years”

Nobel Prize Winner in Economics and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman writes today in the New York Times blog:

"What I mean by that is that for the past 14 years America’s political life has been largely dominated by, well, monsters. Monsters like Tom DeLay, who suggested that the shootings at Columbine happened because schools teach students the theory of evolution. Monsters like Karl Rove, who declared that liberals wanted to offer “therapy and understanding” to terrorists. Monsters like Dick Cheney, who saw 9/11 as an opportunity to start torturing people."

The TV pundits are busy today claiming that America is still a "center-right" country.  But that opinion is belied by last night’s eleciton results.  America is ready for new energy, for change from the Neocons and the Theocons and Karl Rove’s "permanent Republican majority."

Read the whole thing, it’s stark reality.  And reality has a well-known liberal bias.
