Non local teachers in examination duty opposed.

CHITRAL: An emergency meeting of All primary Teachers association, All CT teachers Association, Senior science teaches, Tanzeemi Uluma, PET was held at Government Centennial model high school Chitral under the chair of Waqar Ahmad president All SST Association. They opposed of duties of non local teachers in examination at Chitral. They said that chairman board of intermediate and secondary education consider Chitral teachers dishonest that is why he deputed non local teachers for Exam duty of Secondary school certificate (SSC) from Peshawar.
They demanded from chairman BISE that in future this practice should be discourage to detail non local teachers and only local teachers should be deputed for examination duty at Chitral. They demanded that if non local teachers were detailed at Chitral as a substitute teachers of Chitral also should be detailed for exam duties at Peshawar otherwise they will boycott from exam duty in future.
In this connection when this scribe contacted Muhammad Ismaeel In-charge BISE Camp office Chitral he denied all these allegations. He said that there is shortage of teachers at Chitral so that is why chairman send non local teachers to Chitral. He said that they get only 2.50 rupees per kilometers and Chitral is situated at a distance of 400 KM from Chitral so a non local teacher can get only 1000 rupees as travelling allowance along with 1000 fare.
He said that some 8 teachers have been engaged in exam duty but in the same number teachers from Chitral also have detailed for this duty at Peshawar. He said that there is shortage of teachers and some examination centers still facing shortage of superintendents and deputy superintendents.
Discouraging cheating Ismaeel said that controller examination should to detail inspection team to visit different examination centers to eradicate cheating during examination. There are some 66 centers for SSC and 33 for intermediate exam for 16000 students of Chitral.
No one is willing for duty at upper Chitral he added. And 25 superintendents are absent out of 66 and they were arranged locally he added. Some students and their parents complained of non receiving of roll number slip at Chitral campus office timely and they suffering badly to appear in exams at upper Chitral. Residents of Chitral demanded for establishment of full fledge board at Chitral to facilitate local students to save them from travelling Peshawar Board for different purposes.
