North Korea through its government-run media editorials on the New Year Day Friday called for a better relationship with the United States of America. It has expressed its willingness to re-join the six-party nuclear disarmament talks broken earlier, the official Korean Central News Agency said.
Steven W. Bosworth, Obama’s envoy, a month ago had visited Pyongyang in an attempt to persuade North Korea to return to disarmament talks.
The United States, South Korea’s military backforce, and North Korea have ideological hostility and rigidity.
