Kale House Bed & Breakfast in Everson, WA is buzzing with activity as Bonnie and Cori Litorja prepare to host their 15th annual art show and sale.
What started as a way for the B&B proprietors to showcase their own artistic talents has evolved into a more refined and collaborative regional art event that features the work of many more – this year the juried work of approximately 20 artists from Whatcom and Skagit Counties will be included.
“We like to think of Kale House Art Show and Sale as a one-stop-shop art tour where a variety of artists can be found in one convenient location,” shares Cori Litorja.
During the event, Kale House transforms from a relaxing bed and breakfast into a unique art gallery. Hundreds of pieces, including ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, calligraphy, paintings, mixed media, and décor for home and garden are artistically displayed and sold throughout the 1920’s era character home.
“This local art event has become an annual tradition for many attendees because it’s festive and fun. They come with family and friends and make a day of it by visiting Kale House and local restaurants and wineries at the same time. We absolutely love seeing familiar faces and also meeting those who have not stopped before.”
Kale House Art Show and Sale takes place on Fridays and Saturdays, November 22, 23, 29 and 30 from 10am – 4pm. Complimentary refreshments will be served and visitors can enter to win a night at Kale House.
Located at 201 Kale Street in Everson since 1995, the B&B provides gracious hospitality and 5-star rated accommodations to travelers seeking a unique retreat. Learn more about Kale House and the art show online at www.kalehouse.net.
