NUCLEAR REGULATORY WEBSITE PUBLISHES INFORMATION THAT CAN BE USEFULL TO TERRORISTS
I am publishing some diagrams from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission website. These diagrams show explicit wiring and fluid flow for a running licensed nuclear power plant. Some of the documents contain explicit instruction on how to cope with a reactor “trip” (that is emergency shut down). A terrorist organization could use this information to disable or compromise the cooling for a nuclear plant and cause a melt down.
This information is open source that is it available to the public on the NRC web site. The only problem is that it has a dual use, it’s secondary use can be to inform terrorists of how the nuclear power plants operate and potentially to help them create a cataclysmic event The terrorists would still need physical access to the plant but could have some confederate working their already.
