It’s fitting that a business education workshop about partnerships and collaboration has come about due to several Whatcom County, WA small business owners partnering and collaborating.
Patti Rowlson of Patti Rowlson Consulting, Inc. initially had an idea to organize a workshop and networking event for Whatcom County business owners – something that would get people from small cities outside of Bellingham, WA thinking about new ways to grow their business.
“There are many great companies located in the small cities that make up Whatcom County. I wanted to organize an event that would give business owners a chance to learn something new and make meaningful connections with others,” shares Rowlson.
She contacted Renata Kowalczyk of Collaboration Economy Catalyst about leading a workshop and teaching event attendees the benefit of partnering with peers, and even competitors, to grow their businesses and help the local economy thrive.
“I love that this free event has been made possible by the partnership and collaboration of several Whatcom County businesses. PR Consulting and Collaborative Economy Catalyst joined forces with Smooth Sailing Financial Services, Andy Jewell’s Farmers Insurance office, On the Wire Consulting, and the Lynden branch of Banner Bank. Together we represent communities of Everson, Lynden, Ferndale and Bellingham.”
The workshop will be followed by networking, light refreshments, vodka tasting and a distillery tour at BelleWood Acres from 5 pm – 6:30 pm.
