NY judge to sentence geriatric gangster, 93
"The Sonny Franzese I know as my grandfather is kind considerate, warm, and funny," wrote one granddaughter. "When he is around family he just loves to tell jokes, watch baseball on television, nap, and tell stories about the past."
Well this man used to be a notorious gangster at one time and now has become a lovable old grandfather. What stories could he tell about the past that would not include violence and murder?
His method of getting rid of dead bodies is gruesome. He really should just die in prison whether he serves two days, two months or two years or more. He was a heartless criminal in his heyday and showed no mercy to his victims. Why should we show him mercy in his last years of life? He never has paid for his crimes.
