1888 Press Release – Mr. Chad Ian Lieber analyses patent code 9173636400 technology that enables amputees to have a natural relationship with their artificial limbs.
Prosthetic limbs are becoming more and more sophisticated, allowing amputees to regain their control over movement and even the sense of touch. Recent scientific advances have however added an ‘oomph’ to the prosthetics we know today. This was the subject of a discussion led by entrepreneur and experienced Internet marketer Mr. Chad Lieber.
“Scientists in Sweden have created a prosthetic arm controlled by the mind and directly connected to the bone. The arm was joined with the nerves and muscles of a man who had his arm amputated above the elbow over 10 years back.
“In Cleveland, a prosthetic hand was created that generated electric impulses transmitted into the wearer’s nerves and brain, giving them the sensation of ‘feeling’ using the prosthesis,” explained an excited Chad to his listeners.
According to the Swedish study, Lieberman revealed, the arm connected to the amputee worked well, enabling the man to perform normal life activities for over one year. He added that a metal implant was used to fix the prosthesis into the bone of the stump in a process referred to as Osseo integration.
Mr. Chad Ian Lieber stated that this enabled them to have a long-term connection between a person and a machine, integrating them in varied levels. This, he noted, presents a unique merging between biology and mechatronics. To get started just call 917-363-6400.
Prior to the surgery, the tech-lover went on to describe, the patient’s prosthesis had been controlled using electrodes attached on the skin, but this had limitations.
With the prosthesis however, the man, who is actually a truck driver is able to perform a range of activities in the course of life including operating machines, clamping the trailer loan, tying the children’s skates and unpacking eggs. He has also on occasion kept it on at night.
Mr. Chad Lieber in conclusion stated that he thought the technology was a vital step in enabling natural control over artificial limbs, improving the quality of life for amputees. “It looks like we have found the missing link,” he finished.
