Nyki Kish’s appeal was heard on Tuesday October 29, by the Ontario Court of Appeals in Toronto. Nyki’s mother Christine Bivens and Attorney Jen Fitzgerald discussed the appeal with Bruce Fischer on the Injustice Anywhere radio program.
Nicole “Nyki” Kish was wrongfully convicted on March 1, 2011, of second degree murder for the stabbing death of Ross Hammond in Toronto, Canada, on August 8, 2007. Nyki is currently serving a life sentence with no parole eligibility for at least 12 years. Nyki has maintained her innocence from day one.
The one day appeal was heard by a 3 judge panel. A decision is expected in six to eight weeks.
