Oath Taking Ceremony of CDN held

 New cabinet elected of CDN. Oath taking ceremony held.

CHITRAL:  Newly Cabinet of Chitral Development Network (CDN) was
elected to unite different civil societies working in entire district
of Chitral. The CDN is an umbrella NGO where so many civil society
organizations working under its umbrella in different parts of
Chitral.  Ziaur Rehman Human Resource Development Officer was chief
guest on the occasion. Who took oath from newly elected cabinet of
CDN. Engineer Temor Shah was elected as Coordinator of CDN, Rafiullah
General Secretary, Abdul Nasir Press Secretary and Haji Muhammad was
elected as Finance Secretary. Addressing on the occasion the speakers
stressed upon newly elected cabinet to work with sincerity and a
spirit of benefiting the massive. They said that in past some NGO
involved in malpractices like embezzlement and spreading obscenity and
they were working only gaining money and were not sincere to serve the
needy people. They assured for rendering all possible support to newly
elected cabinet if they work with commitment and honestly  in the
interest of public service. Earlier that interim president Zia Shah
resigned from cabinet and hoped that new president will success to
maintain unity of different civil organizations and will render
service to deserving people. They speakers said that in new era we
should to solve our problems on self participation or self help basis
and to not rely on government departments. They said that independency
is must for sustainable development with participation of civil
society and local community and we should to promote the spirit of
volunteerism. They said that coming future is bright for NGOs because
most of donor agencies depending upon non governmental organizations
because of ownership by people and discouraging corruption and
embezzlement. They said that we should to abandoned personal grudges
and internal tussles for the sack of uplifting our community and
serving nation and country. The speakers said that according to
Islamic principles to provide rights and benefits to deserving people.
They said that after taking oath the cabinet is bound to serve with
great honesty and enthusiasm. The speakers stressed upon equal
distribution of fund and other relief goods donating to NGO.

 Those who spoke on the occasion were Zia Shah, Sher Rahim president
All Employees Coordination Council Chitral, Muhammad Hakeem Advocate
General Secretary PPP,  Subadar Major retired Qalandar Shah, Khateeb
Shahi Masjid Maulana Khaleequz Zaman and Ziar ur Rehman HRD Officer.
Representatives of line NGOs attended the oath taking ceremony.

Meanwhile some 1200 telephone lines have been disconnected since April
14 due to negligence of Communication and Works Department as well as
PTCL as a result 1200 consumers facing great problems and demanding
early restoration of their telephone line because PTCL charging their
line rent but not render any service to its consumers. Besides it
supply of electricity and potable drinking water to Shahmirandeh
village is nuisance for public. The PESCO suspending power supply to
Shahmiran deh daily from7 AM to 6 PM as well as Water and Sanitation
Unit of TMA Chitral blocking water supply daily from morning to
Evening. Residents of the area have appeal to high ups of Pesco and
WSU for minimizing duration of longest load shedding and supplying of
water during day time because they paying their utility bills
regularly on monthly basis but they are being treating step mother
attitude and treating with great discriminations.
