Obama and Clinton Continue To Clash

Senator Hillary Clinton had told the Democratic voters that they should elect someone that will take action and does not talk about action. However, Senator Barack Obama countered by saying that his critics are stuck in the politics of the past.

At a rally at a high school gymnasium in Nashua, Clinton attacked Obama for several votes he cast in the Senate, such as the Patriot Act, and being in favor of the energy legislation she called as an energy bill by Dick Cheney. But, she did not mention his name.

You campaign in poetry, you govern in prose,” Clinton said obviously attacking Barack Obama.

Obama spoke at a packed Manchester theatre. He addressed the issue of Clinton criticizing him at Satruday’s debate.

One of my opponents said we can’t just, you know, offer the American people false hopes about what we can get done,” Obama said.

The real gamble in this election is to do the same things, with the same folks, playing the same games over and over and over again and somehow expect a different result,” Obama added. He continued: “That is a gamble we cannot afford, that is a risk we cannot take. Not this time. Not now. It is time to turn the page.”

Tuesday in New Hampshire is vital for both Clinton and Obama. Obama hopes to sustain his Iowa victory while Clinton wants to recover from finishing third in Iowa.

A poll by CNN/WMUR on Saturday reveals that Clinton and Obama are tied with each other at 33%.

Edwards was joined by three families on Sunday. They had suffered medical tragedies as Edwards made the case against the insurance companies. He said that he and Obama are the candidates that offer change while Clinton does not.

But, he said he is more willing for change than Obama is to fight for his goals.

He just believes you can negotiate with people,” Edwards said directed at Barack Obama.

Obama’s campaign was on the defensive after Clinton said during the Saturday debate that his campaign co-chairman Jim Demers is a lobbyist with clients from the pharmaceutical companies.

Robert Gibbs, the communications director for Obama said that Demers is a state lobbyist and does not to business that has involvement with federal regulation or legislation. He adds that the campaign has a distinction between state and federal lobbyists.

Obama said in terms of changing America: “In two days we can do what the cynics said could not be done. We will have the chance to come together, Democrats, Republicans, independents and announce that we are one nation, we are one people and it is time for change in America. This is our moment, this is our time.”
