Obama and the Economy: Stuck in the Middle (Class)

First and foremost I want to say all prayers and peace be directed to Mumbai. And I hope healing begins soon as well as justice.

But I’ve decided to write this opinion in direct response to Obama’s Weekly address in regards to the economy and college education.

Obama, the man I voted for, talks about how many jobs are being lost and will be lost in the future and then he follows up with a list of “labor” jobs that will restore the economy. My first question is what kinds of jobs are we losing? Dime a dozen jobs or actual careers? Are the working class only good for building roads? I think not.

This broken economy is going to hurt the working class the most. We are the most expendable. Yet we keep talking about the middle class like some how everyone should assume themselves to be classy and in the middle. Oh that’s right they are the managers of the working bee class. And if there are no workers then there are no inflated paid management jobs. In response to the broken economy don’t just create a new type of labor thru the green movement also create a new type of pay scale that truly reflects the hard lifestyle of a labor worker.

And in regards to student loans and education if we make High School more effective we won’t have to depend so much on a college education to validate a person’s skills or work ethic. We WAIT___ too LATE___ to EDUCATE and that’s what we are really paying for. College’s depend on LOW rating high schools in order to be considered HIGHER learning. How sick is that? I say enough is enough.
