Obama angers Democrat candidate over lack of support

One week to go before the US mid-term elections and President Barack Obama has been talking up his administration’s efforts to create jobs.

While visiting a factory in the state of Rhode Island he also attacked the Republican’s record on helping small businesses.

“They talk a good game about tax cuts and giving entrepreneurs the freedom too, when, in fact, they also ended up voting against tax cuts for the middle class. They voted against tax breaks for companies creating jobs in the United States,” said President Obama.

But Obama has angered his own side by refusing to endorse the democratic candidate in Rhode Island as the rival is a personal friend.

Disgruntled Democrat, Frank Caprio did not mince his words:
“What I said to the president is that this process about endorsements isn’t something that I am concerned about right now and he can take the endorsement and shove it.”

The November 2 poll is not looking good for Obama, with voters anxious over the economy and jobs. Forecasts have the Democrats losing control of the House of Representatives plus a slimmed -down majority in the Senate.
