Obama Criticizes Clinton For Her Ties With Lobbyists

Obama had called Clinton as being part of the term “business-as-usual in Washington.” He said that Clinton played too much of a role in that to bring about change. It is a clear indication that Obama is standing by that he is the candidate to bring change to the nation if elected as US President.

The comments from Obama come after Clinton on Thursday had questioned his record of standing up to the special interest groups. As a result, Obama criticized Clinton’s ties to lobbyists.

The problem we have is not a lack of good ideas,” Obama said holding a news conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He added by saying: “It’s that Washington today is a place where good ideas go to die.”

“In this campaign, [Clinton has] taken nearly double the amount of money from lobbyists than any Democrat or Republican,” Obama had explained in regards to Hillary’s ties. In addition, Obama continued with: “That’s not being a part of the solutions business. That’s being a part of business-as-usual in Washington.”

In the recent days, Clinton as made her attacks on Obama as sharp as ever. This could be because of the upcoming primaries and caucuses in the next few weeks as Obama has a slight lead over Clinton.

Recently, Obama had tied Hillary on Super Tuesday, February 5. Afterwards, Obama had won Maine and then willing Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.

Prelude to Super Tuesday, Clinton had a lead over Obama. Then her lead was reduced to nothing in most polls. After Super Tuesday, both Democratic candidates and frontrunners were just about tied. After the recent primaries, Obama has a lead over Clinton.
