Illinois Senator Barack Obama has added 20 campaign offices across Virginia. The move will allow him to compete vigorously in a critical state. "A lot of these places may have never had a presidential campaign before. It shows [Obama] is investing in the commonwealth and it is a bottom-up, not a top-down campaign," said Sen. John S. Edwards (D-Roanoke).

Sen. Obama will be joined by anchors Brian Williams of NBC, Katie Couric of CBS and Charles Gibson of ABC on his upcoming trip abroad. “The coverage feeds into concerns in McCain’s campaign, and among Republicans in general, that the media is imbalanced in their coverage of the candidates, just as aides to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton felt during the primary season,” the International Herald Tribune reports.
