Obvious victory for General Parvez Musharaf

Today on Saturday 6th of October 2007, polling for presidential elections is going on smoothly, opposition attempt to stop reelection of President General Parvez Musharaf is failed, Supreme Court of Pakistan has stopped announcement of official result of the polling till the time decisions are taken on petitions against President General Parvez Musharf in Supreme Court of Pakistan. Meanwhile 36 members of provincial assembly of NWFP have resigned from their seats yesterday, APDM an alliance of opposition parties has given country wide strike call to protest against presidential elections, in Kohat district APDM strike call is rejected by the masses, no closure of shops or wheel jam is witnessed in the district today.

President General Parvez Musharaf while giving an interview to a foreign TV channel has said that he will doff his uniform till mid November 2007, because it is his legal and constitutional compulsion.

The ordinance ensuring indemnity to Muhtarima Benazir Bhutto ex prime minister of Pakistan promulgated by president of Pakistan is approved by cabinet yesterday night after its approval from national assembly the ordinance will become law, even before its passage from national assembly any ordinance issued by president of Pakistan has force of law till six months, so her arrival in Pakistan is quite safe now, neither NAB or any other agency of government will arrest her on her arrival in Pakistan, because all cases against her are related to financial corruption., though her niece and wife of his brother deceased Meer Murtaza Bhutto accused her for her alleged involvement in killing of his brother it is yet to be ascertained whether the present ordinance can provide her indemnity from criminal cases or not.

Result of the presidential election in Pakistan is crystal clear, PML (Q) is having majority vote in National Assembly and Senate, in Baluchistan provincial Assembly and Sindh provincial assembly the same party has enough votes to make the president Musharaf winner. No other candidate has such a large support in Electoral College, so obvious victory for General Musharaf is quite visible.
