OCWA Dubai hold prize distribution ceremony at Chitral

 Annual prize Distribution Ceremony 2010 held. 

 

 

CHITRAL:   The Annual Prize Distribution ceremony of 2010 was held here in Gov. Centennial Model High School Chitral organized by Overseas Chitrali Welfare Association Dubai (OCWA). District Coordination Officer Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir was chief guest on the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Miss Gul Sambar Executive District Officer Elementary and Secondary Education Chitral. The ceremony was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran and students of different classes presented Naath Sharif, national song and Iqbal poetry. Addressing on the occasion Muhammad Shah ADO Education highlighted aim and objectives of OCWA and this program in his welcome address. He said that OCWA is a non political, non government and non religious organization working only for promoting of quality education in the district and awarding cash prizes to position holders in intermediate examination. They also donated 1 lac for flood affected people. Mr. G.D. Langland Principal of Langland School and College also addressed to the participant in English. He said that I came here to Pakistan on 14th August 1947 because I knew that this newly independent country will need of intellectuals and expert persons. He said that also teaching in Atchison Lahore and then came here to  chitral in 1989 and after that me imparting standardized education to the students of Chitral and one of my student is getting her P. hd Degree the most highest education degree. He stressed upon the students to must do hard work because it is a key to success. 

 

Former General Manager of Aga Khan Education Services Pakistan Zuhran Shah, DCO Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir, Miss Gulsambar, Sardar Ahmad Principal of  Decent College Chitral, Abul Kabir Principal of Govt. Centennial model High School Chitral and other spoke on the occasion. At last the chief guest and other distributed prizes among the position holders students of different private colleges but there was not position holder from government colleges. 

 

Ummi Habiba daughter of Abdul Malik who is a student of Decent College Chitral was given first prize of 30000 cash prize and shield who secured 918 marks in F. Sc annual examination out of 1100 total marks. 

Anam Ambareen daughter of Esa Muhammad student of G.D. Langland School & College was given second prize of 20000 and shield who secured 887 marks in F. SC and Khadija Hina Mastor daughter of Nazir Hussain was given third prize of 15000 (cash prize ) who is a student of Langland college. The speakers stressed upon the students to must read with great interest and hard working and should to play their role in eradicating of cancer of cheating. On this occasion DCO Chitral also given cash prizes to the position holders and best performance students in the ceremony. DCO stressed upon the teachers to teach their students not only as a part of their duty but they should to consider it as worship. A large number of people attended the ceremony
