Major Oil Deal Greenlit for Colver Technologies

Colver Technologies says it has been invited to sign a contract with a subsidiary of European oil major ENI.

Liaoning, China-based small scale gas-to-liquids solutions provider, Colver Technologies says it has been formally invited to sign a contract which will see it supply its modular Fischer-Tropsch-based reactors to Rome, Italy-based integrated oil and gas energy conglomerate, ENI.

The deal, which has been several months in the making, finally lifted the confidentiality agreement enabling Colver Technologies to name the company.

The contract will see Colver Technologies deploy its reactors at up to 31 oilrigs including several in the Niger Delta. The reactors will convert run off gas generated as a byproduct of deep water drilling into liquid distillates like diesel and gasoline. “Our reactors will help ENI do away with the traditional practice of flaring gas off into the atmosphere and help to reduce the damage on the environment,” said Gus Stuyvesant, the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

“We would like to take this opportunity to correct an error in our reporting of the progress of this landmark deal. Some months ago, we erroneously suggested that the company, which was unnamed at the time, had been charged by the Nigerian authorities with breaking rules over flaring and had been fined. That was incorrect and we offer an unreserved apology,” explained Stuyvesant.

Colver Technologies says it will begin staggered deployment of its modular GTL reactors at 2 deep water oil production installations in the Niger Delta within the next two months with further rollout at 2 sites in the Gulf of Mexico in the first quarter of 2016.

“This will represent a crowning achievement for our company and is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by the dedicated employees, management and backers,” explained Stuyvesant.
