Omar appreciates police

Appreciating sprit behind holding Police Public Mela by
Jammu and Kashmir Police for welfare of police martyr families, Chief Minister,
Omar Abdullah today said that solidarity and sympathy with police martyr
families should be his prime concern. Omar said that government will provide
all help to Jammu and Kashmir Police in the stupendous task. He said during inaugurating
one day Police Public Mela. 40 different stalls of various police units from
across state and several private entrepreneurs were installed in Mela.


Raffle draw was held in presence of large gathering. Children
drawn from gathering picked lucky numbers for prizes of different categories in
presence of Director General of Police (DGP),Kuldeep Khoda, Chairperson,
J&K Police Wives Welfare Association, Dr. Indu Khoda, Additional Director
Generals of Police, K. Rajendra Kumar and Dr. Ram Lubahya, senior police
officers and lady members of JKPWWA were present.


4 first prizes comprising of four Ford Figo cars went to raffle
draw ticket holder numbers A-89336, B-76699, C-85804 and D-80625. 2nd prize
four Hyundai Santro Cars were bagged by ticket number A-83819, B-06435, C-62714
and D-56218. The 3rd prize four Hero Honda Motor Cycles were won by ticket
number A-97191, B-40164, C-67281 and D-52387.


Similarly the 4th prize four Scooty TVS Strek went to raffle
draw ticket numbers A-90017, B-50294, C-29854 and D-54340. The 5th prize eight
Laptop Computers goes to ticket numbers A-65839, A-73984, B-48736, B-90989,
C-72619, C-68311 and D-03355. D-18334. The 6th prize four LCD TVs goes to
ticket numbers A-82266, B-11289, C-59299 and D-68806.


The 7th prize four AC.75 won by ticket numbers A-08078,
B-11556, C-31434 and D-46333. The 8th prize four Microwave Ovens were bagged by
ticket numbers A-55218, B-76099, C-57336 and D-48104. The 9th prize four
Washing Machines were bagged by ticket numbers A-04327, B-09363, C- 98437 and
D-93214.


Accordingly, 10th Prize, 40 cash prizes of Rs. 1,000 goes to
the tickets with their last four digits 1152. Likewise 11th prize, 400 cash
prizes of Rs. 500 goes to tickets having last three digits 486 and the 12th
prize, 4000 cash prizes of Rs. 200 goes to ticket numbers having last two
digits of 20.


The Special Bumper Prize which has been introduced first
time in the Raffle Draw including one Tata Nano Car, one Laptop, one
Refrigerator, one Washing Machine, one CTV, one Sony Handicam, one Stereo
Philips, one Mobile Phone, one Gas Stove, one Sandwich Maker and one Dinner Set
has been bagged by ticket No. C-14531.  


DGP thanked people for their massive participation in Mela despite
unfavorable weather. On the occasion, several prizes were handed over to prize
winners on the spot, who were present in raffle draw. Other prize winners have
been advised to approach the AIG (Welfare) PHQ, to receive prizes during office
hours on production of original tickets.


Khoda also announced that cash prizes of Rs.1000, Rs. 500
and Rs. 200 will be handed over to prize winners through respective District
Superintendents of Police on production of raffle draw tickets. People from all
walks of life attended the raffle draw and hailed the transparency in which
raffle draw was held.
