Srinagar, April 14 (Scoop News) –Dubbing Omar Abdullah led coalition government as non performing liability, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative and MLA Devsar Mohammad Sartaj Madni said that people of the State were fed up the present dispensation. He said that common masses were looking for an opportunity to get rid of this corrupt and tyranny regime which has crossed all limits of atrocities on people with one or other forms.
Addressing a function to welcoming Panches, Sarpanches and leaders of National Conference, who joined PDP in Qazikund area of Devsar assembly segment, Mr Madni during the last more than four years this regime has done nothing to solve day today problems of the people. He observed that legalizing corruption and nepotism was the only noticeable achievement of this regime headed by National Conference.
He lamented that that instead of addressing woes of the common people this regime was more particular about befooling the people by one or other way.
He said that this government was neck deep involved in corruption from top to bottom and leaders of the ruling party have been brazenly indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
He further regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts. He mentioned this regime has failed to connect itself with the common masses and gap between people and ruling party leaders has been widening.
Pointing towards joining of Sarpanch Bilal Ahmed Deva along with other members of the Panchayat in PDP, Mr Madni said that it was a clear indication that people were fed up with policies of this regime.
He regretted that National Conference has not learnt any lessons from its past mistake. “From 1996 to 2002, the then National Conference regime had committed blunders which led to total chaos in the State”, he reminded and added that the present dispensation headed by the National Conference has been committing the same mistakes by ignoring aspirations and wishes of the common people.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Bilal Ahmed Deva said that he has decided to join PDP due to policies and programmes of the party. He said that Omar Abdullah led government has betrayed the Panchayat members.
Prominent among others who joined PDP included Nazir Ahmed, Naib Sarpanch, Nisar Ahmed, Halqa president NC, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Riyaz Ahmed and others.
The function was also addressed by Nazir Ahmed Labbaw, Riyaz Ahmed and Zaffarullah Wani.
