Omar, Ruhulla tour expenditure nil, Jora tops

Owning responsibility of touring tirelessly to promote tourism of state, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jammu and Kashmir has expended whopping Rs 8.16 lakhs and 8.78 lakhs in last two years 2010 & 2011. Not only has this but his accompanying staff has spent Rs 1.68 lakhs and 1.61 lakhs for the last two financial years.  In a written reply to a query by BJP MLA, Bharat Bushan, it has been revealed that during the year 2010, chief minister’s expenses on various tours cost Rs 3.23 lakhs but for the year 2011 the same has reduced to Rs 0.00 lakhs. Which raise several questions?

Written reply has made stunning revelations as for the year 2010 and 2011, Hon’bel Minister for Animal Husbandry, Science &Technology and Information Technology has not made single visit to areas of state as expenses shown for both years in his account amounts to Rs 0.00 lakhs. List shows that for the year Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Medical Education and Deputy Chief Minister have toured tirelessly for the year 2011 with expenses as Rs 6.20 lakhs and Rs 6.05 lakhs respectively.

Chief Minister in the written reply of question No 7, asked by BJP MLA, has mentioned that R&B Minister has spent Rs 1.66 lakhs upto 08-2010 which is understandable. But for the year 2011 minister has spent Rs 0.44 lakhs for touring purposes. But question arises that there was no minister for R&B from August 2010 and the Chief Minister was himself taking care of affairs in the department. It is also mention that during last financial year MoS for Forest, Environment, Transport, CA&PD has travelled effortlessly with an expenses amounting Rs 4.34 lakhs in comparison to 2010 expenses Rs 4.34 lakhs. Not only has this but his accompanying staff has also run mercilessly at the cost of Rs 4.00 lakhs as compared to expenses of year 2010 at Rs 1.80 lakhs. Minister of State for Cooperatives has also done miracles to spent Rs 5.19 and Rs 4.40 in both 2010 and 2011 years respectively.
