Jammu, December 22, (Scoop News)-Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the loss of lives in road accidents that took place in Wadwan area of Kishtwar district and Gulmarg in Baramulla district.
In a condolence message to the bereaved families the Chief Minister expressed sympathies with them and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned relief of Rs 1 lakh each for the each deceased.
Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir has expressed his grief over the Yesterday’s tragic road accident at Gulmarg in which one tourist and a driver of the vehicle died.
In a condolence message, the Minister expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed souls. He directed the authorities to facilitate the family of tourist for shifting his body to his native home.
Meanwhile As per communication received by Inspector General of Police Traffic Department, no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed beyond Tangmarg which not have 4×4 gears system and chains fitted on the tyres.
This decision has been taken keeping in view the safety of the passengers and tourists traveling to Gulmarg.
Inspector General of Police Traffic Department advised the drivers not to ply their vehicles which do not qualify these norms.
