‘Is it that blacks are simply more culturally or genetically prone to rape than other ethnic groups? That answer is obviously “Yes”.’
This is according to one Greg Kay, in the article titled “EMPOWERMENT THROUGH RAPE [SOUTH AFRICA].”
Is the myth of black people as savages with an uncontrollable sexual appetite, a sorry stereotype perpetuated over the years of colonial teachings?
According to one Pastor Mark Downey in a “supposed” historical revelation titled “The Battle of the Blood River,” part of the reasons the Afrikaners undertook “The Great Trek” was because “Negro tribes were now pouring into
Ironically, a “Great Trek” of another form is reported to be in full swing all around
In the midst of all this historical paranoia and colonial propaganda, in comes one David Bullard in an article titled “Uncolonised Africa wouldn’t know what it was missing” and makes a statement that “Every so often a child goes missing from the village, eaten either by a hungry lion or a crocodile. The family mourn (sic) for a week or so and then have another child.”
Covertly hidden under Bullard’s statement, is the stereotype of a fanatically sex crazy African community, where unprotected sex leads to an uncontrollable breeding of children.
If one was to believe this version of public opinion, then they are likely to believe that Sarah Bartman – a black slave woman – willingly degraded herself by becoming a sexual fantasy and object of the then white settlers’ perverted minds, as they paraded her naked in public and enjoying various sexual affections.
They are likely to believe that rape and crime in South Africa started only in 1994 after a black man tasted freedom, and that the white settlers of decades ago were merely exercising their “masters’ privilege” when forcing themselves on black female slaves.
According to Greg Kay and many other like minded racist bigots, the white slave masters could not have been “culturally or genetically prone to rape”.
They are not black, aren’t they?
Jonathan Jansen, in an article titled “Racist hysteria makes big news,” points out to a survey that was conducted in 1987 among white South Africans, where they were asked whether they believed that under a black government “black men would molest white women.”
The results of this survey recorded “between 78 percent and 91percent of Afrikaners answered “yes” and more than 70 percent of English-peaking whites said the same.”
How telling?
It seems the pre-conceived colonial paranoia and feelings of self righteous racial superiority are still rife among us.
