Another pregnant lady saved,Man dies of fall
Srinagar, January 17 (Scoop News) –A trainee died and 38 others were injured when a tin shed collapsed due to heavy snowfall at Police raining Centre, Lethpora, Awantipora.
A tin shed collapsed due to heavy snowfall at Police CTC, Lethpora, Awantipora in which 39 trainees and officials of CTC, Lethpora got injured. All the injured were shifted to different hospitals in Srinagar, of them three injured have been shifted to SKIMS Soura.Among the injured, a trainee Vikram Singh succumbed to his injuries. Boy saved by the Police in Achabal
Achabal police came to the rescue of a boy who got buried under the snow in Uttersoo, Shangus by timely shifting him in a police cab to the hospital.
A boy Irfan Ahmad Bhat son of Late Abdul Kabir Bhat resident of Sheikhpora, Shangus, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Uttersoo came under snow cascades that fell from the roof of a residential house and was buried under it resulting in sever injuries to the boy.
However, Uttersoo Police immediately evacuated the boy in a police cab to the hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
Another pregnant lady saved by timely police help
Keller Police saved another pregnant lady when her family was unable to shift her to the hospital due to heavy snowfall.
Kellar police came to the help of a pregnant woman Mst Farida Akhtar wife of Khurshid Ahmad Kumar of Gattipora, Shopian when police shifted her to the Sub District Hospital, Pulwama.
It was due to the timely and prompt help of Keller police that the lady and her new born was saved.
Man dies of fall from a roof top in Srinagar
Mohammad Ayub son of Abdul Gani resident of Karsoo Padshahi Bagh, Srinagar fell from the roof of his house while clearing snow from it. He died on the way to the hospital.
Rooftops damaged due to heavy snowfall
Due to heavy snowfall, rooftop of the residential houses belonging to Sonaullah Wagay son of Mohammad Ramzan and Ali Mohammad Lone son of Abdul Rehman residents of Pahalgam, Anantnag got damaged. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
