Ontario Election 2014

In a couple of weeks, the residents of Ontario will go to the polls to elect a new provincial government.

How do you think you will vote? I cannot nor would I tell you how to vote, but I can and I am telling you how I see things concerning the upcoming Ontario election.

Over the last several weeks, I have listened to the election promises of the major three parties. The thing is, after listening intently to what they have to say, I can only reach one conclusion and that conclusion might just be the one solution to this situation.

The Liberal Party is telling us that the Conservative Party is out to destroy the moral fiber of Ontario by eliminating one hundred thousand (100,000) jobs from the Ontario workforce. Meanwhile, the Conservatives are not denying this, but, they are promising to somehow miraculously create out of thin air one million (1,000,000) new jobs for Ontarians.

The Conservative Party  are going around decrying the Liberals stating that the Liberals have no plan whatsoever to create jobs, and furthermore state that the Liberals are planning to privatize the TTC Transit Commission and sell it off, to whom, who knows. Who would want to by a transit system that isn’t making any money.

The NDP is saying nothing at all, about anything. That’s not very surprising, because we all witnessed how the NDP put Ontario into chaos when they were given an opportunity to run the province about 15 years ago.

So what’s the answer to this dilemma you might ask?

For me personally I have a simple solution which I offer to you now. When you get your ballot to vote, mark an (X) for all three parties. This results in what is known as a spoiled ballot, but, it must be counted as a part of the electoral procedure. If none of the candidates receives enough votes, or receives no votes at all, then nobody wins and these three, must go back to the drawing board and come up with something better than what they are offering now.

The actor Richard Pryor made a movie several years ago titled: “None Of The Above”. It was a movie about the election for Mayor of New York City.  The candidates running were offering the voting public nothing in the form of improvements. All they were thinking of doing was lining their own pockets.

Richard Pryor comes up with the idea that there should be a place on the ballot for “None of the above”, so that if the people wanted to, they could vote just that way. The thing is, the city voted “None of the above” putting the other candidates out of the running.

“None of the above”  would work for me in this upcoming provincial election, but it’s to late to get it on the ballot, so the only other alternative is a spoiled ballot causing none of the parties to win. God protect us all from political election disaster.
