Anantnag (Kashmir), June 19 (Scoop News)- South Kashmir Civil Society(SKCS) expresses concern over the ‘component of deficiency’ in good governance of Jammu and Kashmir state.
SKCS in a statement said that the non-serious and inefficient approach of political system along with administration tells upon ‘Justice Delivery System(JDS)’ of the state for quick and prompt disposal of cases—as justice is a virtue, everyone should get its due share—there is an appropriate and apt legal maxim ‘justice delayed is justice denied—justice doesn’t mean placing cases on the shelves.
As such, SKCS demands a cabinet nod for appointment of specialized judges in courts, besides, presence of at least one psychologist at every ADR centre along with infrastructural enhancement and most importantly opening of extension counters of honourable High Court at sub-regional levels in both Kashmir and Jammu provinces; like in Anantnag for South Kashmir, Baramullah for North Kashmir, Kargil for Ladakh. SKCS believes that this move can help in bringing justice at doorstep for chronic civil/constitutional matters.
Furthermore, SKCS also demands for the establishment of directorates in line with above nomenclature as part of decentralization to have easy access of people to top officials of the state in administration.
