Open Forum held at Garamchishma by Minister

 

Stern action would be taken against those officials who found defaulter. We accountable to the nation. Provincial Minister Saleem Khan.

 

CHITRAL: Provincial Minister for Population welfare Saleem Khan warned heads of all line departments to serve the nation and they are accountable before the nation. He was addressing an open Forum (open katchery) at Garamchishma some 50 KM from here. He said that every of us is accountable before Allah Almighty and elected representatives for your duties and responsibilities. He stressed upon chairmen of Parents Teachers Council while distributing PTA fund Cheques among them to strictly monitor utilization of this fund to save it from any embezzlement. He said that provincial government has released 150 million fund to Parents teachers association fund but unfortunately the same was not spent for their real purposes. He said that government higher secondary school of Garamchishma would be shifted to old grain godown and a new building would be constructed there. He said provincial government is focusing on health and education that are the main things for development of a nation. He said that 27 more road coolies would be recruited in near future as approved by provincial government. He said that some health units would be handed over to Aga Khan Health service under public private partnership if health department cant not support these unit to facilitate patients in that respective areas. He said that poles should to be installed where there it needed without any permission from parliamentarian because this if public property and should to use for benefits of public.

 

Some elites of the area complained of no balance and weight system at some sale point and ware houses of wheat at Chitral. Provincial minister directed District Food Controller to submit him detail of all these sale points where there is no balance and weight system for early provision of these items on priority basis. Some participants complained about less weight of 6 KG in one bag of wheat. District Coordination Officer Mutasim Billah Shah asked the public to inform him if any teacher of government school serving in any NGO instead of his own duty he would be terminated immediately. He said that there are 74 pools for duck hunting but we never give proper attention to our children are visiting their schools. People of the area complained of shortage of staff and non availability of electricity in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Garamchishma. The provincial minister appeal to NGO and Clusters to provide electricity to THQ hospital and the expenditure would be bore by him. Residents of the area also complained that their youth are being ignoring in recruitment of border police and regular police. DCO assured them that local people would be given preference in recruitment of border police and regular police to compensate and support these downtrodden people. He also assured that local matriculated male and female would be appointed as primary school teacher instead of a higher qualified person who is outsider and having no interest to teach the children. Elites of the area also complained that some female and male teachers have hired outsiders by giving them nominal remuneration and not perform their duties. Provincial Minister and DCO warned education department to conduct an inquiry in this regard to ascertain that how many teachers are defaulters who not coming to their schools and have hired other persons to teach the children on behalf of them. They said that stern action was taken against 57 teachers and some of them were also terminated from service. A large number attended open katchery held by provincial minister where the participants opened offices of complaints against different department.
