Opposition issueless, NC would strive for New Delhi-Hurriyat dialogue: Dr. Farooq

 

            Srinagar, April 25- National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah today visited Tumulhal and Rohama villages of Pulwama district and addressed a series of election meetings there. He was accompanied by senior party leader and Rural Development Minister Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar.

            Dr. Farooq said that opposition has turned bankrupt and is issueless to take on the Government. He regretted the opposition criticism to Election Commission of India for withdrawing the elections to the Hazratbal Constituency. He said the Commission took the step in the highest tradition of democracy.

            He reiterated the party’s pledge to root out corruption and provide a long lasting solution to the unemployment problem in the State. He said the Government would strictly monitor the human rights situation and would not tolerate any violation by any member of the security forces in this regard.

            Terming PDP as a party with myopic vision, he said its leaders are raising non-issues which have no relevance with the problems people of the State face.

            Dr. Farooq said that National Conference would strive to engage New Delhi with Hurriyat Conference Kashmir issue is resolved through dialogue.
