One day Orientation workshop on Human Rights for police official.

 

CHITRAL:  To support oppressed people and help of law through police support courts to verdict on justice is really worship. One day duty with honesty and justice is better than worship of 70 years because your report based on fact can acquit an innocent person  and can punish a real culprit through courts of justice said Azmat Esa District Public Prosecutor during a  one day orientation workshop for police officials to sensitize them about human and especially women rights organized by Legal Awareness Program for Human Rights (LAPH). He said that lodging of First Information Report (FIR) in police station is processing until Supreme Court and learned Judges decide the case after proper studying the case submitted by Persecution police through FIR.  He emphasized on all Section Head Officers (SHO) and Muharrars who lodging FIR of different police stations to must register case based on facts to help the courts verdict on justice. He said that any case depend upon investigation and FIR which is foundation of the prosecution. He emphasized on all police official to never be pressurize by politicians or any influential figure and must be fear from Allah Almighty while they registering criminal or any other case in their respective police stations. He stressed upon them to must protect human rights and be declare themselves as public friendly police. He said if our police work honestly crime ratio would automatically be minimized.  He said wrong reporting is a shape of cruelty and cruelty is more sin and aggressive than infidelity which will never be forgiven and remitted.

 

Addressing to the workshop Deputy Superintendent of Police Qazi Ataur Rehman who is also member of justice committee and head of investigation unit of Chitral police stressed upon police officials for lodging FIR neutrally and impartially. He also advised LAPH to bring into their notice any human rights violation in the district. Earlier that Niaz Ali Shah Chairman Board of Director LAPH briefed the police officials regarding human rights and stressed upon them to protect human rights especially to support women because they are oppressed segment of our society. Niaz A Niazi Advocate member Board of Director briefed the participants on human rights with legal point of view. Sher Ahmad Prosecutor Inspector, Khalid Khan SHO police station Chitral also shared their views. A question answer session regarding strategy of police reforming was also held in the workshop. A large number of police official participated in the workshop they thanked LAPH and Irish based donor Trocaire for supporting Chitral people especially for empowering and protecting women rights in the district.
